Together, let’s look at the rise of written folklore in the form of fanfiction, and observe the ways in which these writings are posted (Star Trek was mainly posted in forums, whereas Supernatural has large fandoms on specific fanfiction sites), popular fan tropes within these writings (and how they evolved), and how these writings can evolve out of their web based form and onto paper. We will also discuss the different variations of fan written content that has emerged as different sites and apps become popular and how their chosen content integrates with these new mediums.
